Hyundai Santa Fe: Air conditioning System / Auto Defogging Sensor. Repair procedures
To inspect and diagnose the sensor, refer to Self-Diagnosis procedure and DTC
guide.

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Remove the rain sensor inner cover (A) and rain sensor cover (B).

Separate the auto defogging sensor connector (A) and remove the auto
defogging sensor (A).

Install in the reverse order of removal.

The auto defogging sensor is installed on the front window glass. The sensor
judges and sends signal if moisture occurs to blow out wind for defogging...

This warning light illuminates:
When you set the ignition switch or the Engine Start/Stop button to
the ON position.
- The electric power steering warning light illuminates for about 3 seconds
and then goes off.
Whenever there is a malfunction with the electric power steering.
If this occurs, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
